Hello, there's a new video up! Go check it out here! I'm trying something different with my source list and putting it up on my website instead of publishing it on Google Docs. It should look nicer and direct people to my blog!

Source List:
[1] Minecraft Education Whitepaper
[2] Apparently they've since removed the claim that MCEE can teach any subject from their website, but it was there when I started editing this video.
[3] Google Trends for Minecraft
[4] I mentioned this because when you look up Santeri Koivisto, the first result is the famous pole dancer with the same name, who also owns santerikoivisto.com
[5] Making MinecraftEDU - Minecon 2012 Panel
[6] SCGroup Facebook Page (its in finnish):
[7] SciFest Website
[8] Santeri's video from SciFest
[9] Scifest 2011 footage I used. Fun fact, I put this scene on an indoor track and field because thats where the convention takes place.
[10] SciFest ohi. Oppia tuli kasoittain. Paljon muuta edessä. (SciFest is over. We learned a ton. Much more ahead)
[11] Average public school class size.
[12] Santeri's Twitter. (I'd link the actual tweets I used but twitter is fucking broken and I can't filter tweets by their publish date anymore thank you elon!!!!1!)
[13] I got the opportunity to actually talk to Santeri and this is roughly what he said happened in that meeting. I also swapped the order of Santeri going to SciFest and emailing Mojang for story pacing reasons. In reality, he emailed Mojang before scifest happened, which makes it even more unbelievable that they responded to him. Santeri said that he was asking to represent educational minecraft for finland or something like that? Apparently Karl Manneh didn't even really know what he was asking for either. It felt weird to switch between so many topics and I didn't really understand the chain of logic myself, so I wanted to stay with scifest for a minute then go back to the email. The result is the same, that Carl Manneh supported MCEdu getting made.
[14] Aleksi Postari's website.
[15] Joel's debut Tumblr post.
[16] Joel Levin on the Reddit front page.
[17] A link to Joel Levin's Tumblr blog, a lot of the posts are about how difficult it was to actually get this to work for normal teachers.
[18] Old version of the TG website that I used in the video
[19] TeacherGaming LLC lookup shows that the previous name of the company was SCGroup Oy, they changed it on December 7th, 2010.
[21] The Shaft Episode 33 (this podcast is formatted really weird, they talk about MCEdu for the first little bit then just move on to talking about what they did in MC this week with Joel just kinda sitting there awkwardly)
[22] Radio Show blog post.
[23] MinecraftEdu Creator Joel Levin!.
[24] Teaching with Games: GLPC Case Study: Joel
[25] Interview with MinecraftEdu's Joel Levin (Curse Network)
[26] Minecon 2011 Panel
[27] Minecraft: The Story of Mojang by 2 Player Productions. There is no way to buy this anymore so I'm linking to a youtube reupload.
[28] qCraft Curriculum: Introducing Quantum Physics with Minecraft
[29] MCEdu mod page. I wanna mention that there are two other versions here that never made it to fruition as far as I can tell.
[30] So this is the FAQ page for Mojang asking where they can buy minecraft and it says that "Minecraft.net is the only retailer of Minecraft (other than MinecraftEdu; see below)"
[31] Purchase Minecraft page.
[32] AdoptAClassroom Survey.
[33] Yearly Tuition for Columbia Prep School as of Oct 30th, 2011:
[34] MinecraftEdu World Library.
[35] Minecraft Teachers Google Group.
[36] Teaching Minecraft - Episode 1 (part 1).
[37] MinecraftEdu Classroom Server Hosting.
[38] MCEdu 1.5.1 update page.
[39] Daniel Ratcliffe's website.
[40] ComputerCraftEdu website.
[41] qCraft website.
[42] Santeri Koivisto, CEO of TeacherGaming and Telenor Youth Forum speaker on Knowledge for All.
[43] MCEdu FAQ section
[44] TG Ice Bucket Challenge.
[45] The Guardian article about Microsoft buying Mojang. In the video I say that "the next day microsoft announced that they were going to buy mojang" but in reality this was a leak from an anonymous Mojang employee who talked to the Wall Street Journal. They posted it on the ninth but it was basically at midnight, people knew about it the next day. The numbers are fudged a slight bit to make it a bit funnier, I hope you will forgive me for my sins.
[46] KerbalEdu Blog.
[47] Santeri's old blog when he was doing SCGroup (its in finnish).
[48] 5 More Minutes website.
[49] TeacherGaming Desk introduction video. I would record it myself but... you know why I cant do that.
[50] Joel Levin's departure blog.
[51] Announcing Minecraft: Education Edition.
[52] Office 365 Administrator Plans.
[53] Chase the Clouds update. I might've been a bit facetious by saying that they update "only once per year" they do small bug fix updates and lessons additions every few months.
[54] Gneiss Name's MCEE video.
[55] MCEE Lesson Library.
[56] IGCSE Geography Obj 3.5 Energy.
[57] Using Teach in Microsoft 365 Copilot: Crafting a Minecraft Education Lesson Plan. When I wrote the script it was called the AI lesson crafter, but now it is all looped into a Teach with Copilot feature along with other materials. Same shit different day, but that's why I say lesson crafter a lot but it doesn't show up in the video.
[58] Lesson Crafter FAQ.
[59] TeacherGaming Game Over. The thing I'm reading off in the script is the current text on the TG website as of posting this video, but it doesnt still have the GAME OVER at the top so I kinda mishmashed them.
Bonus:
this is the thing about AI using a ton of electricity.
allbirds turns into an AI company and their stock skyrockets, we are definitely not in a bubble guys trust me please guys invest just a little more money I swear we will make 1 quadspillion dollars next year pLEASE!!!!1!
Thanks for watching! Next video is not gonna take as long I pinky promise
